Pregnancy Aid Detroit is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, Christian organization that upholds the sanctity of human life by advocating for the lives of mothers and their unborn children, and by offering emotional and material support, as well as education to promote healthy lifestyles.
Last year, the Board of Directors shifted the organization in a new direction by purchasing a building next to one of the largest abortion centers in our area, and just a few blocks from another abortion clinic. We immediately embarked on a complete renovation of our new property and moved our offices to that location in September of 2020, complete with a new state-of-the-art ultrasound machine. Previously our offices were located six miles from these abortion clinics, and even with this distance, we were able to save many babies' lives from abortion. Our first full year in the new location will undoubtedly result in saving even more babies' lives in the future. Most importantly, since our prior year records show approximately 85% of the women who receive ultrasound exams at Pregnancy Aid choose life, then the more women who walk through our doors, the more babies lives we will ultimately save.
Our proximity to these abortion clinics positions us right where women with unplanned pregnancies need us the most. As women face the challenge of an unplanned pregnancy, we are there to offer free support through pregnancy tests, counseling, ultrasound exams, and material aid both during pregnancy and after the baby's birth.
It should be noted, with the financial aid of our generous donors, Pregnancy Aid was able to raise all of the money required to purchase the new building and pay for its renovations. More importantly, all of the Officers and Board of Directors of our organization are volunteers, and work without compensation while not being reimbursed for any expenses. Therefore, 100% of every dollar we raise goes directly to our charitable mission.
